Threadneedle adds to fixed income team
Asset manager Threadneedle made two senior hires for its fixed income team after the recent restructure of its fixed income capability.
Clifford Lau has been appointed into the newly-created role of head of Asia Pacific fixed income in Singapore and Zara Kazaryan joins as emerging markets debt fund manager in London.
Lau joins the firm from Pramerica Fixed Income, the asset management division of Prudential Financial, while Kazaryan was most recently with emerging markets debt specialist asset manager G2 Capital Partners.
Jim Cielinksi, head of fixed income at Threadneedle, says the hires reflect the asset manager’s “continued commitment to building out and strengthening our fixed income capability”. (article continues below)
Last month, Threadneedle unveiled a number of changes to its fixed income capability, including the establishment of a global macroeconomic strategy group made up from members of its government bond and emerging market debt teams.
The firm said it would fill roles in Asia and London. It also said other hires for its fixed income team will be announced “in due course”.
