Daniel Tubbs will lead a team of three emerging market equities specialists.

Lionel Aeschlimann, partner and head of asset management at Mirabaud, says: “Our asset management division is experiencing growing success and the arrival of a leading name like Daniel Tubbs – with his in-depth knowledge of Asia and other emerging markets – can only reinforce our development and support the growth of our range of funds.”

Philip Watson, chief investment officer of Mirabaud, adds: “We think Dan Tubbs’ passion for stock picking to create alpha will fit perfectly in the equity culture of the London offices of Mirabaud.”

Tubbs spent four years at BlackRock where he was responsible for two investment funds including the $1.2 billion (£0.7 billion) flagship Global Emerging Markets fund, before leaving earlier this year.
