Charles Stanley Direct has appointed Douglas McNeill as an investment director for its direct-to-client investment service.

Ahead of the launch of the service this quarter, McNeill has transferred from Charles Stanley Securities, the institutional division, where he was a transport analyst to Charles Stanley Direct.

McNeill previously worked at ABN Amro and Barclays de Zoete Wedd.

His new position will see him in charge of all equity research for Charles Stanley Direct and he will be working closely with recent hire, head of investment research Ben Yearsley.

Charles Stanley Direct head Rob Hudson says: “McNeill will be absolutely key to our multi-media content creation on the equity side and we are all looking forward to having the resource of such a well-respected analyst for Charles Stanley Direct.”
