Lyxor launches two ‘risk balanced’ ETFs

Lyxor Asset Management has launched two ‘risk balanced’ ETFs on the NYSE Euronext Paris to be marketed at UK investors.
The two new products are the Lyxor ETF SMARTIX Euro iSTOXX 50 Equal Risk and the Lyxor ETF MSCI World Risk Weighted, and are designed to reduce risk concentration and increase diversification.
The Smartix Euro iSTOXX fund is designed to provide investors with exposure to eurozone equities through the Euro iSTOXX 50 Equal Risk index. Exposure to individual stocks is determined by the potential risks posed.
The MSCI World Risk Weighted fund tracks the same number of securities as the MSCI World Risk Weighted index, but the exposures are determined in the same way as the European equities fund.
The management fee on the European fund is 0.25% while the global equities fund carries a fee of 0.45%.
