Pictet unveils High-Dividend Selection portfolio

Pictet Funds is launching a High-Dividend Selection fund to provide investors access to high-yielding global infrastructure stocks.

The fund will be run by Hans Peter Portner, head of the sector and theme fund group at Pictet Asset Management. It will focus on stable dividend payers in industries with high barriers to entry to boost total returns and lower their volatility.

The fund will yield roughly 4% a year, with share classes paying a monthly income. (article continues below)

Pictet said the strategy had proved popular since 2005 in Japan, where it is the largest foreign player in the domestic funds market.
