Aberdeen investment trust chairman to step down

Aberdeen New Dawn investment trust has announced that chairman Alan Henderson will step down at the closed-end fund’s annual general meeting in August.

Henderson will retire from the board at the end of the year and will be replaced by David Shearer, current deputy chairman.

The board changes will see Richard Hills become senior independent director and John Lorimer become chairman of the audit committee. (article continues below)

Henderson was appointed to the board as a director in 1991.
