Investment trust manager to leave

Michael Hufton, manager of the SR Europe Investment Trust, has tendered his resignation to management company Sloane Robinson.
Hufton has managed the trust for the past 18 months and will be replaced as named manager by Hugh Sloane, chief executive of Sloane Robinson.
The news comes as the board announced last week that it would include proposals that the investment trust be wound up at its next annual general meeting.
