Fundweb readers opt for cash and equities

The latest Fundweb.co.uk poll has revealed advisers are opting for greater allocations to equities and cash in portfolios given the current investment climate.

The poll found more than a third (35%) of Fundweb.co.uk readers were opting for greater allocations to equities, while 31% preferred to hold greater levels of cash, despite historically low interest rates.

Just 17% preferred to hold a greater bond allocation, while a further 17% thought an equal allocation to the major asset classes was more prudent.

The results come after a poll by Natixis revealed advisers were more averse to the traditional equities/bond, 60/40 split, highlighting advisers’ preference for a more diversified portfolio.
