Russell Investments expands multi-asset range

Asset manager Russell Investments has announced it will be expanding its UK retail range to address demand for growth and income funds.

Russell Investments is set to launch a retail version of its £760 million Multi Asset Growth Strategy fund, which aims to achieve equity-like returns, with two-thirds the volatility of the equity markets. The asset manager is also set to launch a new income fund.

The portfolio invests across a range of asset classes, but with a main focus on equities, fixed income and alternatives.

Russell Investments head of UK retail Greg Stark says: “With the new funds, we will apply the full weight of our expertise to constantly refining the asset allocation - increasing the likelihood of meeting defined goals.

“This could be particularly useful for people whose investment time horizon bisects retirement - making it easy for advisers to help put in place a plan catering for changing income requirements.”

Chelsea Financial Services managing director Darius McDermott says: “These sorts of mainstream products, which focus on income and growth, are what investors will be looking at in the mainstream multi-asset market.”
