Over 90 per cent of employers will seek advice on automatic enrolment, according to Nest.

Research from the Government-backed pension scheme suggests most companies will seek advice and support as they approach their auto-enrolment staging date.

Over 9 in 10 of the employers surveyed by Nest said they would seek advice on choosing a pension provider.

Having chosen a provider, some 74 per cent said they had sought or would be seeking support in complying with the regulations.

Nest managing director customer and proposition John Taylor says: “We have designed Nest for employers to use in the way that best suits them.

“They can set-up and run the scheme by themselves or, as this research shows many prefer to do, run their scheme in conjunction with an adviser. This suggests there is a potentially significant opportunity for advisers and intermediaries.”
