Tonkinson named global distribution head for Skandia, Old Mutual

Warren Tonkinson has been appointed global head of distribution for Skandia Investment Group and Old Mutual Asset Managers UK.
The appointment follows the recent decision by Old Mutual to merge the asset management businesses.
The merged businesses will be headed by Old Mutual Asset Managers UK chief executive Julian Ide.
Ide says: “We are determined to attract quality individuals to enable to grow what will be a successful asset management business.
“Warren has the range of expertise and talent to help on this journey, so I very much welcome his appointment.”
Tonkinson adds: “I believe there is a tremendous opportunity given its size, scale and presence of this new business in the UK and international markets.
“The business has significant strength in a number of areas but particularly its investment solutions as well its in-house and outsourced single strategy funds.”
