Slater Investments rebrands growth fund

Slater Investments has rebranded its UK Growth unit trust into the MFM Slater Growth fund to reflect a shift in emphasis to a pure growth mandate.

Mark Slater, the chief investment officer and manager of the fund, says the change of fund name reflects “a sharpening of the investment remit”.

Although the MFM Slater Growth fund has changed its focus to a pure growth strategy, it will continue to primarily invest in British equities. (article continues below)

When selecting holdings, Slater seeks fast-growing, dynamic companies which he considers to be undervalued. He aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation through an investment style that uses a price-to-earnings growth ratio as the main valuation tool.

HSBC Bank is still the trustee of the fund and Marlborough Fund Managers remain the authorised fund manager.
