Investec makes senior sales appointment
Investec Asset Managment has appoined former Martin Currie sales manager Fergus McCarthy as sales director for UK strategic partnerships.
McCarthy has previously worked for Jupiter and Axa Investment Managers.
David Aird, managing director for UK client group at Investec, says: ‘In a market environment of fast changing regulation and increasing complexity, strengthening relationships with our key strategic partners is more important than ever before.
“Strategic partnerships are an important part of our business and our comprehensive range of managed solutions and specialist funds are increasingly being recognised.
He adds: “RDR will bring us many opportunities in the independent and restricted adviser channels and this hire demonstrates our commitment to build on our success to date.”
